SOOOO jealous

Our friend Elliot owns his own mortgage company. After he and his wife divorced and the housing market tanked, Elliot decided to just hop on a motorcycle with his buddy Mike and ride. Across America? Oh, no... that's too nearby. Instead, they decided to ride from Frankfurt, Germany onward through the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand!

Pete and I are super-jealous, of course. Elliot and Mike have been keeping an online journal of their journey. They are in Japan now, and the journey continues. He just posted pictures of himself hanging out at the Ice Bar in Japan. Everything in the entire bar is made of Ice, including the glasses your drinks are served in.


I told Pete that the next time we move, if he wants to take two or three weeks and just ride around the country, I'd be OK with taking care of the move. I know he's been wanting to just take off on his bike. I think it'd be fun, too, but don't think riding with an infant would be particularly safe or enjoyable!
